Description
Give your smart devices the ability to detect nearby objects and track edges with this highly reliable IR Obstacle Avoidance Sensor Module. Combining an infrared transmitter and receiver pair, this board works by emitting a steady beam of infrared light. When an object crosses the path, the light bounces back to the receiver, pulling the digital output pin low. Featuring an onboard adjustment potentiometer to fine-tune the sensing range, it is an indispensable choice for robotic obstacle avoidance, automated smart taps, line-following vehicles, and conveyor counter systems.

  • Adjustable Detection Range: Features an onboard multi-turn potentiometer knob that allows you to easily calibrate the sensing distance threshold from 2cm up to 30cm. 
  • Visual Status Indicators: Built with dual onboard LEDs—a dedicated light to confirm power supply stability and a secondary indicator that lights up immediately when an obstacle is detected.
  • Universal Logic Compatibility: Natively supports wide voltage inputs between 3.3V and 5V DC, making it safe to link directly to an Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or PIC chip without logic shifters. 
  • Easy Mounting Footprint: Fabricated with a pre-drilled M3 screw hole on the PCB frame, allowing for fast, secure installations into structural robotic chassis or custom housings.
