It operates by generating quadrature digital pulses that track exactly how much the knob has turned and in which direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise). It also features an integrated momentary push-button switch under the shaft, making it the perfect choice for navigating graphical display menus, adjusting volume levels, controlling stepper motors, and fine-tuning smart home dashboards.
