Unlike standard analog potentiometers that have a fixed physical stopping point, this incremental digital encoder can rotate 360 degrees continuously in either direction. It operates by generating quadrature digital pulses that track exactly how much the knob has turned and in which direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise). It also features an integrated momentary push-button switch under the shaft, making it the perfect choice for navigating graphical display menus, adjusting volume levels, controlling stepper motors, and fine-tuning smart home dashboards.
