Description

Modeled directly after the classic PlayStation 2 controller thumbsticks, this module combines two independent 10kΩ potentiometers to capture precise X and Y coordinates. It also features a hidden push-down tactile switch that registers digital inputs along the Z-axis. It is the premier choice for steering robotic arms, managing motorized pan-tilt camera brackets, playing retro arcade emulators, and navigating complex graphical menu interfaces. 
Key Product Features
  • True Analog Positioning: Generates highly sensitive, proportional analog voltage values based on how far the user pushes the thumbstick in any direction. 
  • Hidden Digital Push Button: Features an integrated momentary tactile switch under the thumb cap that triggers an active low output when pressed down. 
  • Ergonomic Rubber Thumb Cap: Includes a removable, non-slip textured rubber thumb grip that fits comfortably on the thumb for smooth, non-fatiguing operation.
  • Simple 5-Pin Interface: Pin out is broken out clearly onto standard male headers (GND, +5V, VRx, VRy, SW) for fast breadboard or jumper cable wiring. 
  • Auto-Centering Spring Mechanism: Equipped with high-durability internal tension springs that snap the joystick back to its neutral center coordinate instantly upon release.
