Description
The LDR Ambient Light Detection Sensor Module is a low-cost, highly responsive photosensitive peripheral used to measure variations in surrounding light levels. It couples a 5mm Light Dependent Resistor (photoresistor) with an onboard LM393 voltage comparator circuit. Operating on a photoconductivity principle, the LDR’s internal resistance drops sharply when exposed to brightness and rises exponentially in total darkness, allowing developers to automate systems based on day-and-night cycles.

  • Dual Signal Outputs: Generates a fast, logic-level digital switching threshold and a granular analog voltage curve simultaneously. 
  • Onboard Sensitivity Control: Features an integrated multi-turn potentiometer trimmer to fine-tune the exact lux trigger point without changing code. 
  • Instantaneous Response Time: Delivers high tracking speed, making it highly effective for rapid optical beam-break counters. 
  • Visual Status Readouts: Outfitted with dual onboard LEDs providing immediate confirmation of incoming power and digital output activation
